Called to Serve.

Brighten got his mission call and opened it on thanksgiving. He is called to the Florida Tampa Mission. He reports Feb. 24th. We are proud of him and will miss him.

Halloween

This Halloween Paetyn dressed up like a little piggy, perfect don't you think? We went to a trunk or treat to see grandma and grandpa and to get a little candy. We carved a little jock-o-lantern and she wore one of her favorite shirts during the day and it said "Daddy's Little Pumpkin." Teesha and some of her friends at school dressed up like Trolls.

Paetyn turns 1!

On Oct. 22 our baby turned 1. The day started out with a Birthday pancake made by Daddy. We didn't have her a birthday candle at the time so we had to improvise. She went to Mom's school just before lunch and got her nails painted. Then we met Dad at the park for lunch. She had a little bit of an eye infection that week so her eyes are a little goopy and squinty in the pictures. She had a little party on that Saturday. Oh yeah and dad saved her life at Walmart on her birthday, literally. To make a long story short, she was falling out of the cart head first and dad quickly swooped in and grabbed her by the pants when her head was millimeters from hitting the concrete floor. We love her and are so grateful for her and the joy she brings us.

Disneyland

This summer Chris's family all went to Disneyland for a big family trip. It was a lot of fun. Thanks to Mom and Dad for taking us all and helping with the kids. Grandpa even got to take Paetyn on her first ride on the Merry-Go-Round, I think Grandpa had an even better time than Paetyn. After Disneyland we went down to San Diego for a night and day. Paetyn loved the sand at the beach but not the water, it was kind of cold. It was a really fun summer, but now we are both down to the nitty gritty in school.

Our Trip to Cancun

This summer we had a wonderful trip to Cancun, and the best part was it was all expense paid. Chris earned it through Arctic Cat(work). The resort was fantastic, and all inclusive. There were a bunch of different restaurants that we could eat all we want of the great food and didn't have to pay anything. It was beach front and our room had a jacuzzi in it. We hope to go there again some day. We went scuba diving, we went to the water park, went to a local mall, swam, went sailing on a small sail boat from the resort, and just spent a lot of good time together. Teesha had some trouble with scuba diving, she couldn't even stay under unless Chris was holding her hand, what a nice husband!

Milestones

Paetyn started crawling June 5th, 2009. This was right before our vacation to Cancun and Teesha was worried that she would start crawling while we were gone. On this night we were getting home kinda late from some friends' house. We were changing her before we put her to be and she woke up, so we decided to giver her a bottle. After she got done with her bottle she just got on her hands and knees and started to crawl like she had known how to do that all along. Once we busted out the camera it took a little encouragement to get her to crawl.

Paetyn took her first steps July 26th, 2009 and has been getting braver and braver ever since. She is getting to the point to where she will walk a little distance before she gets down and crawls. This video is from tonight.
